The Châtaigneraie Hospital Selects Ekahau RTLS for Patient Tracking
The Châtaigneraie Clinic in France chose Ekahau's Wi-Fi based RTLS solution to optimize operating room efficiency
Paris, France --- May 17, 2006 --- Ekahau Inc. announced today that the Châtaigneraie Clinic has selected the Ekahau RTLS (Real-Time Location System) solution to improve workflow in their 16 operating rooms. The hospital uses Ekahau T201 Wi-Fi tags and Ekahau Tracker software to locate patients in real-time. During the hospital admission process, patients are given Ekahau Wi-Fi tags, to track their location through the entire operating room process. The system enables hospital to eliminate unnecessary waiting times and allow staff to manage the patient care process more efficiently.
The Châtaigneraie Clinic is one of the leading hospitals in France in implementing innovative IT solutions to enhance the patient care. The Ekahau RTLS is the latest addition to their wireless Wi-Fi based applications. Currently the Wi-Fi network is used for managing meal orders and accessing medical files in patients' rooms.
